The transformation of the former Carlsberg Tetley building in West Silvertown into a home for creative businesses, galleries and events will be celebrated next weekend with a two-day warehouse party organised by arts organisation Block9.
The 50,000 sq ft Silver Building is the brainchild of social entrepreneur Nick Hartwright, in partnership with the Mayor of London’s Office and Silvertown Homes Ltd.
The Block 9 event marks the official opening of the Silver Building with two 18-hour parties on December 9 and 10, which promise to echo the performance art-meets-music spirit of their renowned Glastonbury festival events, which attract around 50,000 people every year.
