London City Swim

22 September 2017

City Swim 2017 has come to London, raising awareness and essential funds for Motor Neurone Disease, a group of diseases that effects the brain and the spinal cord, stopping messages from reaching the muscles. Specifically, the money raised will go towards Project MinE, a genetic project researching the risk factors that can lead to MND.

On Friday 22nd September, hundreds of swimmers will take to the Royal Victoria Docks, and race 500m to raise funds and awareness for MND. We are inviting people to put together teams of 4, to compete in this event. Every team member will swim a 500m lap of the Royal Victoria Docks. The team of 4 with the fastest combined time will become team champions. We will then invite the fastest 28 swimmers to be part of the Super Sprint Final. They will be joined by some elite athletes and surprise guests to swim a 200m sprint final.

Swim for MND research at the Royal Victoria Dock!
